(Carried over from yestiddy) I'm splitting listings up between "What's going on" and "Where I'll (likely) be"...in case that makes a difference for you in your planning process. If it does and if you want to acknowledge I make THAT big an impact on whether you have a good time or not let me know if you'd like to "sponsor" an aimlessly wandering soul who'd like more freedom to
What's Going On
East Village -
- The Hose is host to FRISKY DISCO (cute masks, boys!) and DJ Aaron Elvis James' one hour mash-up set, hence this edition is aptly dubbed "Mashopolous". Go-go and Del Rio, too.
- Mr. Karff begins his birthday celebrations tonight at HE'S A REBEL at Nowhere. Guest DJ Kevington joins him on the decks.
Where I'll (well...there's at least a 50% chance) Be
West Village -
- I'll stop in for a guzzle at Gusto's nozzle courtesy of Mr. Williamson but it won't be a PRE-GAME affair for me...I'll likely be headed to a movie instead of a wild night out. We shall see. (Famous last words...)
SATURDAY...
What's Going On
Flatiron District -
- Mr. Geller oversees a lavish brunching situation at 230 Fifth's CHAMPAGNE PARTY BRUNCH today and Sunday and every Saturday and Sunday. Get into the "Liquored Up French Toast". I have a feeling it won't be the only one... I'd be here but I've got to get the laundry done this morning and jet to Long Island City (reason below).
- Gay Rugby star (and South Brooklyn gay-terrati), Mr. Maschi, is hosting a BROOKLYN RUGBY End of Season Fundraiser at P.J. Hanley's (adjoining South Brooklyn Pizza, home of "Fondle" gay Monday nights). $35 gets you food and beer and a warm fuzzy from being an athletic supporter (I'm assuming all who are reading this are men. If not and you're a woman, it's only $25 for that fuzz).
- Galapagos Art Space hosts a Mr. Sosa creation: FLOATING KABARETTE with Narcissister, Adam & Mia, Jenny Rocha and Her Painted Ladies, Anya and free haircuts all night long!
- Ms. Montoya (my promotion "house" daughter. LOL) and Mr. Galindo invite you to hear Mr. Travolta spin ALL NIGHT LONG at 105 Rivington. I'm remembering the days of Preservation Loft Society soirees. Anyone with me? Anyone?
- Mr. Cote moves his BUDDIES party to Saturday night for once. Come see what sort of "buddy" you can find on a Saturday night as opposed to a Tuesday one...
- Mr. Studmuffin joins a slew of party people hosting La Vasquez' (shout out to MP) NOTORIOUS Birthday Bash. Apparently this is THE party to hear what makes a Junior party a Junior party. If you're curious.
Where I'll (well...there's at least a 50% chance) Be
Long Island City -
- Christy Love and W. Jeremy a/k/a HOUSE OF STANK will be knockin' 'em dead at P.S. 1 this afternoon (approx. 4-6). You would WANT...!!
- Mr. Smith is back from the town of P and joins Mr. Anders for yet another gloriously debauched ROCKET, with the sure hands of Ron Like Hell on the needle. I'll be here early and for just a moment before I DASH to...
- Yes, yes...mr. Black has moved YET AGAIN! It's now at the Room Service space (35 East 21st btwn Bway and Park Ave. South). Tai and I are helping break it in by guest-hosting the first TUBWAY at the new location. Come over after serving it and getting 10s across the boards (I'm looking at YOU, Mr. Mason) at the LATEX BALL (Roseland) or ROCKET (The Hose). Or wherever you would be before you come to the Black. Wherever it is that you give what you give the way you GIVE it! You know.

SUNDAY...
What's Going On
West Village -
- Mr. Williamson advises WAKE UP BITCH! And Eat Something...especially if you've got the hangover I tend to have on a Sunday. Two price levels for brunch, one for drinkers ($35 for unlimited mimosas, bloodies, wine or prosecco and two courses) and one for those who practice moderation...or have damaged their liver the night before ($20 for one drink and two courses).
- There are a few Sunday tea events in the summer that carry on the old Body & Soul tradition (in my opinion). Interestingly enough (?) they're all outside. And no, I'm not talking ASCENSION. One of them is every Sunday on the boardwalk in Coney Island. This week's event is a special BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION for DJ Louie Gorbea. Get in.
- Speaking of Body & Soul, a third of the DJ trio from that august gathering spins his popular 718 Sessions at Santos tonight.
- Kingdom gets DDARKK at Home Sweet Home on Chrystie. Join him you dark thing.
Where I'll (well...there's at least a 50% chance) Be
Carroll Gardens -
- Here's another of the outdoor Sunday "teas" I'm feeling...and the one I'm planning to attend: SUNDAY BEST. This week with Tim Sweeney. I really live for this party!
West Soho -
- Desi and Lady (who will be swooping down after her gig at the new moved Josh Wood Sunday party formerly known as Ono and now known as (Roof)TOP at Hudson Terrace) dance the night away down in their disco dungeon at VANDAM.
ONGOING...
West Village -
- Mr. McGovern's performing his GLAAD Award nominated one-man show DIRTY STUFF five times in August at the Actor's Playhouse as part of the Fringe Festival. One man, multiple personalities. You won't be able to look away! Buy tickets NOW!
- SUMMER STREETS takes over Park Avenue and connecting streets from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park (76th Street) the next three Saturdays - making it a pedestrian and biking mall.
- NAKED (and SIZE MATTERS) are two shows at Paul Kasmin Gallery 'til Sept. 19th that you'll want to see...well, if not both, you'll definitely want to see one.
***Special Note (Week 3)***
Paul Vitale is living upstate for the summer and is using his time to raise money for medical research on Alzheimer's Disease. He's going to walk the Memory Walk on September 26th and run the Rochester Half-Marathon and is raising donations through both at his DONATION PAGE he's created to make it easy for us all. Visit soon and help him meet his goal.
Oh! Final note: Look me up on the book o' face where I also post these listings (via notes) and where you can see all the lovely people whose names I've bolded above tagged in the note.
