Not sure what the dues are, but my friend Chauncey D is DJing the METRO BEAR NY SUMMER BEACH PARTY, taking place - naturally - at View Bar and involving ribs & wings. I love me some Chauncey and support anything he does, so...fat/hairy/skinny/otter/cub/platypus/egret/whatever?...go!

  • MORE Bears! Get in on the ground floor...sorry...basement, as a new kind of man party (with an old reference for a name) takes off. Robert Valin and DeMarko (who's celebrating his birthday.) kick off KAKE at the Chelsea Hotel.

  • Finally (and most enduringly)...just down the street and back down some stairs...the original "man party" for glammabears and their ilk, SNAXX, is back for one more Friday after tonight before it takes its annual summer season hiatus through August.

Almost there!

  • Everything brunch will be redefined with the opening of PERMANENT BRUNCH tonight. From two people behind two of my favorite places (Tillman's in Chelsea and The Redhead in the East Village) is spawned this all-brunch, all the time restaurant. Can you imagine? A place where brunch never ends!?!? Heaven! Plus, they have a bacon MENU!? Dear god...what have I done to deserve this and what will happen if I KEEP doing whatever it is??


West Village -
  • Don't forget!...That crazy funny bitch, Robbyne Kaamil, is performing her one-woman show two last times before she takes it on the road for the rest of the year. It's RAW & REAL and at the Duplex at 7pm. (Word to the wise from Robbyne: Make a reservation! This shit's gonna be FULL!)
Lower (LOWER) East Side -
  • Ryan McGinley and Greg Krelenstein throw a "post-gay" (if you will) gay party at B.East called MAIN MAN that manages to be chill despite being scene-worthy.
