• A "Cote" of...er...a different color?, THIS Mr. Cote hosts a weekly Tuesday party at Nowhere Bar called BUDDIES. Music enthusiasists and lovers of stout take note.

• Pony dishes it out while Corey TuT plays with your levels at HUGS & HEIFERS - the only country you'll need...this week.

Clinton Hill -

• Mr. Cambeiro wants your wiener. Head to Sweet Revenge for THE WIENER ROAST. Maybe bring your estranged ex...though I think it's more about fun than about either of the r words.

East Village -

• DJ Big Ragoo (a/k/a Carmine) is busier and busier. Two parties this week bear his imprint. Tonight, drink up at your namesake party, LUSH ("whaaaat?! You don't know me!?") at Nowhere Bar.

• COREY TUT is also working a double-billing this week with a special live, acoustic set at Uncle Mike's (generously sharing the bill with two other guys...cuz he's THAT nice!)

• Astro Erle, Cody Ravioli and crew celebrate the one year anniversary of SALON BORDELLO with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails!


• Just around the corner (it's the same building, even), Carmine's getting CLEAN. Mr. Dailey and Mr. Ralston enable him. See the debacle!

• Mr. Furlong's passion these days...well one of the bigger...THE BUNKER books a full bill of great DJs at Public Assembly every Friday. Catch them this Friday to warm up for B.E.M.P. (See below).

• Literally down my block...B.E.M.P. - Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival goes all day Saturday (August 8th) and boasts an amazing (and extensive) line-up of DJs (The Juan Maclean!).

East Village -

• Don't stay too long tho, cuz it's time - once again - to visit the groovy PLANET ZiZMOR with your intergalactic companions Alon, Idan and crew (including me!). Saturday, August 8th.

Park Avenue -

• For the next three Saturdays, Park Avenue and connecting streets from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park will be closed to motorists and turned over to cyclists, runners, skaters/rollerbladers and pedestrians for SUMMER STREETS. Bike-sharing is part of it! Check the website for details.

ONGOING...

• A power-duo of exhibits at Paul Kasmin Gallery runs July 9th - Sept. 18th. NAKED in the front and HUNG...sorry...SIZE MATTERS in the back give you plenty to peruse.

Prodigal Son (ok, ok...I'm being dramatic) Paul Vitale is living upstate for the summer and is using his time to raise money for medical research on Alzheimer's Disease.
